I've been taking my pug to another Vet for the past 9 years. They noticed she had a growth on her stomach and that it needed to removed and tested to check for cancer. They gave me a price that made me sick and I was so very worried about Piper. My step-brother recommended Palmetto and I took her to get a second opinion. The awesome Doctor Stallings that because of it's placement it was not necessary to remove at this point as the other Vet said. Palmetto Vet was wonderful with our Daisy Mae. We have been with them for a few years now, and had excellent service every visit. We found out rather suddenly that she had a huge mass that was inoperable and we had a decision to make. They were compassionate, caring and professional in all this. The vets were so sweet on her last day with us, even when we arrived an hour early for her appointment, because she had gone downhill so quickly and we weren't sure she could make it much longer. Staff was knowledgeable and easy to talk too, they answered all my questions. I has previously called to check prices and the price was exactly what was quoted, no hidden fees
After the staff made it clear they don't specialize in the treatment of exotic animals, they said they would still be able to care for my daughter's two guinea pigs. We brought them in for check ups but with one of the piggies having a lump on her neck. The vet promised to speak with one of her colleagues about what the problem could be and said she would get back in touch with me after the holiday (Memorial Day). She NEVER called me back.
