When it was my time for a 3-month checkup my blood work was not asked for, but she's the one scheduled the 3-month checkup to check my numbers..my illness hashimoto's disease/hypothyroidism is of the type that needs blood work checked every 3 months to gauge the amount of medicine to be prescribed. In my experience they don't care about their phlebotomist much either. Just left an appointment with my mother she had such a bad experience she had a panic attack on the way home. Dr. Karen smith is an arrogant, judgmental, disorganized, and over all rude physician. Her tone comes off extremely harsh and she constantly would talk over my mother, her unprofessionalism really astounds me. I really haven’t had any issues going here until recently. Last year my iron flagged as very low, I was told to start an iron supplement, which I did. Wasn’t feeling any better so I went back & had my iron rechecked & it’s even lower. She referred me to oncology. Well they sent it to an oncologist who is out of network. It’s been over a week and I’m not even scheduled in with the oncologist. So I called back & she’s telling me I have to wait another week. I had two negative experiences with people on the phone at the front desk, and chose to cancel my appointment (I was a new patient establishing care) as a result. I was hung up on, on two separate occasions by the staff. These situations prompted me to read the reviews of the practice and I did not feel comfortable coming to a provider that has such poor feedback.
