Had a total of 3 visits. The first two were ok. The third one was when I really needed sage advice and empathy. My perception of my situation was completely negated by the counselor and she offered zero empathy. Not even a " it will get better" or "we'll/you'll get through this". Left feeling worse.

I have been working with Dr. Ryan for a few months now. He has listened to me with an empathy and shared his professional experience with me in a way I haven’t experienced before. My experience with Palmetto Counseling and Consulting has been the most pleasant and enriching counseling experience in my life. Excellence is shown from the front desk receptionist and her timely reminders to the genuine smile she gives at each appointment, to the care that my therepist gives. Had the same experience as a recent reviewer I read before posting this. I waited to assess this situation as best as possible. My first experience was terrible, the receptionist was rude, mean and unprofessional. I was never called back or emailed, I had to call, the second time going around was much better with the receptionist, the Dr though, ms pill pusher, dismissed me the second she read I didn't want to be put on medication, said I'd get a call to schedule my actual talk therapy session and that was last Monday....I s... read more

Both of my appointments were scheduled wrong by the front desk receptionist. He does not care at all. He tried to make me feel like I was the crazy one. Nothing like having needing a therapist and then being told by the therapists’ office that you’re nuts. There are two company profiles on google. The other one has SEVERAL complaints about the receptionist. I think it’s time to get a competent one.
