My *** started to misfire while driving , I checked the code and it stated misfire on cylinder 1, took it to get it checked out and it was losing compression on cylinder 1 and causing the misfire, I took it to palmdale Kia and informed them of what is going on and they said I only needed to replace the spark plugs. Online service appointment? Show up and you won't be seen for a week. That's what happened to me today and this a universal problem at the dealership.I arrived 15 minutes early, checked-in, and was asked if I would be leaving the car. My Kia started stalling at every stop when at idle, I checked the code myself and did the simple repair need, very simple. I replaced a solenoid. Fast foreword 6 weeks and the same problem occurs. As I knew I had a couple factory recalls I took my car to the "experts" at rally Kia. Now my car has been in and out (mostly in) their shop for the past 5 months. I brought my car in to be examined/repaired because my engine hydrolocked when it rained out here. Raul wasted my time for a week, randomly quoted me a $8500 repair fee, and when my insurance company sent an appraiser out he added an additional cost and when it was time to pick up my vehicle, he still couldn't tell me what was wrong with it, he wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee plus a fee to completely tear down my engine for an additional $1800 just to tell my insurance company whether or not water was the cause of my da... read more
