CHARGING A FEE FOR AUTOMATIC PICKUP FROM UPS OR FEDEX .. WHAT A #\$%\$ !
I came to Pak-N-Ship to buy a box and drop off a FedEx package. (I have an account with FedEx and printed my label at home.) When I mentioned that I was buying the box to pack up some items to ship, the owner/manager? informed me that they do not "allow" customers to pack their own boxes in the store. So rather than packing my box on the large table in the store, I was forced to pack it on the ground in the parking lot, lift it off the ground (27#s) and carry it into the store. attention to all....... this is an independant company... that means that they pay ups and fed-ex to come and pick up your packages.... that is why they can charge you \$2 or \$2.50 to handle your packages even though they are pre-paid shipping labels... i reccomend you either pay the fee or use your gas to go to an actual ups or fed-ex store.... but then again which costs more nowadays??? their charge or a gallon of gas???
I wish I could give zero stars. As mentioned above, the woman there (I have to imagine the owner) looked at my two tiny packages and told me it would be \$4 to ship. Prepaid labels, already packaged/taped. I informed her that she s crazy, turned and walked right out the door. She tried rebutting that she has to pay to have them pick up there, and I understand that - but I believe UPS charges something like \$2 a DAY for scheduled pickup, no matter how many packages they are picking up. This place is horrible. I too had a pre-packages box, with pre-paid label. Since I was told by the manfacturer that I could just drop it off at any UPS Authorized location. RIP OFF! Tried to charge \$2 to "handle" a PRE-PAID envelope. Lady was UNBELIEVABLY RUDE as well! What kind of SCAM are they running here. BUYER BEWARE!
I absolutely LOVE this place!! I sell alot on Ebay and really dont have the time to pack it all up. I am a mother of a 4month old, makes things harder!! So I take my items in and they pack and ship them for me! I have never had anyone complain about my the way items were packed. If anything, I have had people compliment my boxes. I recomment Pack -N- Ship tp everyone that ask if I know of a store that offers quailty customer satisfaction.
