As a social worker, it is very concerning to witness the level of unprofessionalism displayed by the front office staff. The way clients and community partners are treated reflects directly on the providers and the services offered by this office. They deny getting referrals. They do not call back when messages are left. I would leave zero stars if it was a choice.
These people do not care about their patients. Half of the receptionists are rude and clearly hate their line of work, they treat you like an inconvenience for coming to your appointments. The lady on the phone is super rude as well, and that's IF they pick up the phone. The Drs here want to just give you an epidural or gabapentin, when I tried to advocate for myself and say that the Gabapentin wasn't working they just gave me Tylenol to take with it. I hand delivered my referral to them over two weeks ago and still haven’t gotten a call for an appt. I have called the new patients person every day and left messages and have gotten no call back. Don’t waste your time with them they don’t care about anyone and aren’t interested in helping people. If I could give no stars, I would.
I rarely post online reviews. However, my experience with the Pain Management Specialists of Lompoc is so different than the reviews here that I want to put in a good word for this group. I have found the staff to be very respectful and helpful both on the phone and in person. Dr. Patel is very conscientious and personable with me; he saw that shots were not appropriate for me and did continue the pain management treatment plan of my previous doctors.
