About this business

Pagliuca's Restaurant is another one of the very small Italian restaurants that calls the North End home. Pagliuca's serves traditional Italian cuisine which is standard home-style fare with several antipasto choices and many pasta selections. The menu also features some quality seafood or chicken entrees. There isn't much in the way of atmosphere here with paper place mats on the tables and linoleum-covered floors but the food and prices more than make up for it. Alcohol is served.

Dependable North End Spot – My husband and I can always count on Pagliuca's for a good meal with some authentic wine choices. We have tried many places in Boston's North End, but we always end up coming back to Pagliuca's to fill the good homestyle Italian void. I recommend making a reservation (even then you may have to wait a little bit, but it is worth it).

Every time I visit Boston... – I love this place. I eat here every time I'm in town. I usually have to wait a bit for a table but the food and ambiance are well worth it. Outstanding veal and seafood dishes. Great pasta and sauces. Nobody pushing a check in your face and asking "will there be anything else?" What a nice, relaxed dining experience with nice wines and friendly wait staff. I'll keep coming back until they all die or I do.

Poor service, dishonest prices for so-so food – Despite having a reservation, we waited 45 minutes before being unapologetically seated, in the meantime watching parties of our size put their name on the list and be seated. The trend of bad service continued with water being spilled on the table, and the need to ask for everything - water, napkins, butter for the bread, etc. The other disturbing element was the way the prices of the food magically increased on the inside menu. For example, both the menu online and outside, l... read more

Don't keep reservations-food was so-so!! – We made reservations for 8:30 and arrived at 8:20. We were told they were running behind and it would be 20 minutes. We sat down at 9;30-1 hour after our reservations. Wait staff could care less, food was just ok. The wine list was small and they didn't have the bottle we ordered. We've been there many times before and it's time to start looking elsewhere. As we were leaving the woman who was sitting people was arguing with the owner on the street because they made all these reserva... read more

Pagliuca's Best Days are now bygone nostalgic memories – This restaurant has its best days behind it. Although you may still appreciate the value and the nostalgia there are better places in the North End to experience good Italian food. We started going here back in the 80?s and the place was authentic, quality focused and fun. Next time our experience was dissappointing, I had the Chicken Cacciatore and was satisfied but not wowed as I had been in the past. The wine list was still a list of value oriented Italian wines wit... read more

Not the best but they are trying. – This is your typical small, family style, north end restaurant. The menu has many of the typical Italian style entrees and appetizers that makes this cuisine a favorite. Pricing is modest for the area and I believe the restaurant offers a good value. Our service was very good, the waitress was friendly and efficient and she was backed up by other servers who appeared when needed. Pro - Family style service, atmosphere Average - food, menu (One of the few restaurants that actually serves a ... read more

Pagliuca's Restaurant LOVE IT!! – Growing up in an Italian family residing in the Burbs we had our Sunday dinner in the North End any where from two to for times a month. After a few years of trying different places we made our way to Pagliuca's. No word of an exaggeration when I tell you I have not been to another restaurant in the neighborhood for the last ten years. If you are looking for a fancy place with fancy food Pagliuca's isn't for you, if you are looking for a charming cozy restaurant with authentic Italian food l... read more
