I had my first haircut at Pageboy last week. The neighborhood is really cute and safe, and when I walked in I was greeted by two friendly stylists and the cutest little doggie. The salon is really cool with lots of fun furniture and artwork to look at, but I really loved the comfortable casual vibe of the place; not bougie or pretentious at all. Rosario and Kimia are both great! Most recently I got a haircut by Kimia. I was looking for lots of wispy layers with texture and movement, and I got exactly what I’d asked for :) She is superr precise, pays a lot of attention to detail, and was also really friendly during the consultation. I have wavy/curly south asian hair and it’s great to find stylists who can do cuts perfectly suited to that texture!
Cool vibe, friendly staff, inconsistent results. One visit got me a great haircut. The next got me what was essentially a very expensive bang trim plus a 40 minute blow dry. Despite an extensive consultation (including asking how I style my hair, to which I answered “I don’t”), the actual cut felt surprisingly minimal and I didn’t feel like saying I want a shag for the fifth time.
