I met with 3 surgeons before deciding on Dr Chen to do my procedure. My silicone implants had ruptured. I didn’t want to replace them with more implants which meant I would have to go through another explant surgery in the future. Dr Chen actually listened to what I wanted and didn’t try to sell me on another pair of implants like the other surgeons did. She listened to my concerns, and my preferences. Very Disappointed – Would Not Recommend Dr. Joyce Chen came across as professional at first, but her bedside manner was terrible after surgery. Three months after getting breast implants, one completely deflated. She showed little concern and talked about her personal issues while I stood there upset and undressed. She didn’t waive her fee for the second surgery, and when I expressed frustration, her staff told me I could go elsewhere. Dr. Chen was the plastic surgeon on call when I went to the ER with an infection of my right breast implant that was placed over 30 years ago. She took care of me and took care of the infection. I was in so much pain, and she took me to surgery at night to remove the implant and wash out the infection. I’m really grateful for her care, and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone who needs a plastic surgeon. I am absolutely abhorred by my experience with this office. My fiance paid this lady $5000 to perform a procedure in 2023, and has since had trouble reaching her to find out if and when the procedure can take place - OR - if he can be reimbursed his funds. We drove out to her office, which is locked by special access key (contrary to everyone else on the floor) and also no one was there during regular business hours (stated here in google).
