Excellent Seafood Spot – I saw this little restaurant on Citysearch prior to my trip to San Fran. We stopped in for lunch as an alternative to eating at the Wharf, and it was certainly the right decision! Excellent, fresh tacos, great sweet potato fries and the ahi wasabi rice bowl was excellent. The service was tops and friendly. Cheap eats for fresh seafood in San Fran and it was on a very charming street. Afterward we went down to Union Street and walked the shops. A perfect afternoon!
In the mood for seafood... – but not sure how you want it served? Pacific Catch is the place to go. Partner and I had a hankerin' for seafood, so we checked this place out. A variety of dishes made this a great place for folks who like different cuisines. The place wasn't really crowded for a Friday night, but the service was a bit inattentive. We started with Coconut Encrusted Shrimp - a bit too much coconut for my taste, but still nice. I had tacos - salmon and shrimp. Very flavorful. Partner had an ahi rice bowl. Plentifu... read more
Fast, fresh seafood makes its way to the Marina at this counter-service sidewalk grill. – The Scene Cheerfully bright colors accent a smattering of tables, and bar seats run the length of the room. Though noise from the kitchen echoes off the wood floors, the good-natured cooks make it a pleasure to be part of the bustle. Avoid the lunchtime rush--between strollers and neighborhood professionals stopping by for a bite, finding a seat can be trying. The Food The low-priced menu features fish prepared in a variety of appealing... read more
Good quickie – Pacific Catch is a tasty fast meal on Chestnut. The fish is great in any of the salads, rice bowls, or sandwiches. I recommend anything with ahi or salmon. The best thing going is the sweet potato fries. Only downside is it is a little pricey for the category and at times hard for seating. It is very popular for early dinners. Definitely worth a try.
Great Catch – I live in San Mateo and just happened to be in the city & found this great local fish resturant. The Ahi appetizer was great, so was the MahiMahi sandwich. I wish they would open a location on the peninsula.
The Place I go most frequently – This place rocks. Great quality food. Everything totally fresh and prepared to order. Consistently delicious and flavorful, and best of all, totally affordable. Nice people & hip, fun approachable atmosphere. The first place I think of going for a healthy, quick meal. And they have chicken and great grilled tofu, so you can go with non-fish eaters!
Excellent Value - Great fresh fish – I have to admit that I was such a skeptic at first - the food seemed too cheap. But after one bite, I was sold! The fish is just so fresh!!! And always cooked perfectly. It's a very small seating area, so it's really better as a takeout place, but I've had some great dinners with friends at the bar seating area. My favorite dishes: Ahi Tuna over Salad or in a "Wasabi bowl" and don't forget the sweet potato fries
Definitely worth checking out – I don't even like fish and I love this place. Very fresh, very flavorful, very good.
perfect healthy urban restauant – I live near the Marina and this is the perfect restaurant for the area - great value (not super cheap - about $10 or $12/person - but very high quality), great food, healthy, fairly quick, friendly.... I go there at least once a week and I haven't been let down yet, I think I'm turning into a Pacific Catch junkie.
