My son was diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis. In 2022, after unsuccessful bracing, I was told my son needed surgery. His original doctor was Dr. Mendelson of Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh and Dr. Dede would be assisting in this surgery. We met Dr. Dede this one time...since Mendelson was his actual doctor. We went through the steps of scheduling the surgery and all of insurance issues.
