Oya - Best Lounge in DC! Oya has , hands down, the nest sushi and drinks in town. This fun and trendy lounge is prefect for a dinner date or late night drinks. The food is delicious and the drinks are perfect!

Trendy spot, food is almost as good as it looks... The food served here is eclectic and strikingly beautiful visually. The menu here is new wave multinational and tend to add distinct sauces and flavors to traditional foods such as sake vinaigrette over oysters. If you have a date, this is a place to take her, not for the food, but for the atmosphere.

3.5 stars My guest and I had the $35 dinner prix fixe. I really enjoyed the taste of all courses of my meal--Curry Sea Bass Spring Roll, Grilled Beef Sirloin, and Apple & Cranberry Fruit Crumble. My guest, though, did not like his main entree, the Scallops with pad thai noodles. He thought that the three scallops tasted good but were not filling and that the pad thai was tasteless. His appetizer and dessert were better. We also got a side of the Lobster Mac n?? Cheese, which we had heard good things about from other people, ... read more

See and Be Seen Here – Even among the McDonalds and the Dunkin Donuts and the other tourist-trap chains, the Chinatown area manages to maintain quite a bit of class on the western side of 7th St. Slightly unassuming on the outside, the inside of Oya is plush, chic and very on the Miami glamor side. It may look like a lounge and may certainly feel more like one once the happy hour time hits, but Oya serves great food as well. I'm a fan of their lunch and dinner pre-fixe specials, where for $19 (lunch) or $29 (dinner) you get ... read more

Love the decor and atmosphere – Stopped by here for a glass of wine and to check it out. I have heard so much about it! The all black and white decor is amazing. Love the waterfall covering the kitchen and the white leather couches. Definitely an upscale place. Didn't get a chance to taste anything from the menu but I can't wait to go back!

The Posh Spice of Chinatown – I am in love with this place. Why? Because every part of the experience of dining at Oya is breathtaking. The decor features this all-white, super contemporary set up that plays with various lighting techniques and various fabric textures. If the atmosphere wasn't impressive enough, the food is also excellent. First off, Oya offers $10 "bag lunches" to go. You can choose from sushi, salad, entrees, and they all come with desert. It's awesome. Second, I can't say enough how good their regular men... read more

Citysearch Editorial Review – With its all-white decor, this cool and contemporary Penn Quarter hot spot is a good bet for a decadent pre-theatre meal or a tasty steal of a happy hour. In the lounge, plentiful space in side nooks and along the fireplace-backed bar provides the perfect setting to enjoy select sushi rolls and appetizers at cut prices, along with specialty cocktails like those made with soju, a Korean sweet potato vodka. In the restaurant, a full spread of sushi and French-fusion dishes are offered in a dim, in... read more
