Our parks in Memphis are one of the greatest assets we have. Overton park is the flagship!
I have loved Overton Park for as long as I can remember. I went to Jr High at Snowden. Played golf after school there. I still like it now because of the natural forest still remaining and accessible. I love Rainbow Lake. Even though I do not have pets, I love the Dog Park. My wife and I like to go places and just walk, enjoy nature and feel safe when we are doing that. We can do that there.
Overton park is okay,but the director is a racist about to come to life.
Love the atmosphere, beauty and unique features the park has, such as the 1/2 acre play area for dogs. However for those who want to meander through the trails may be intimidated by the dense woods on both sides of the path. It is serene and beautiful but unless you have someone with you (or even a group) you may feel too vulnerable to go too deep in.
It was the most special day of my life the day me and my special someone became one with the lord it was such a beautiful place to get married thanks overton park
