Would not recommend. One star for the one good, helpful staff person I encountered there.
Absolutely horrible the new director of their mental health clinic insisted I go on lithium because she didn’t like my energy and when I said I didn’t want to she got up, walked away and said that you can’t be in my program. She had no interest in having a conversation
The outpatient program has been effective in providing necessary care to individuals requiring it. To access assistance, I voluntarily admitted myself to the emergency room, subsequently transferring to the voluntary unit. Once I felt comfortable, I informed the staff of my desire to be discharged and promptly scheduled an appointment with the outpatient program to ensure I receive appropriate care, including the correct medication and therapy. The South Ward behavioral program is absolutely the worst ever put together. Terrible clinic and worst program ! After the first 3 days of perfect sleep and proper medication, they changed medication so no more perfect sleep and they started waking me up at 2:45am to check my blood sugar manually when I had a Dexcom 6 blood sugar monitor that displayed current blood sugar at all times. Also they left speaker on with scratching sounds all night ! Absolutely terrible medical supposed professionals!!!
