Overkake Cancer Center front desk staff are great- stars are for them. Helpful, kind, empathetic. Down the hall at Fred Hutch (formerly SCCA) some of the front desk staff are horrible: eyerolls, total disrespect, ignoring patients in line, total lack of empathy. Not what you'd expect from Fred Hutch, who should hire and train front desk staff more carefully.
90% great experience so far. I'm only 6 weeks from my "abnormal mammogram". Dr Phantana is awesome. The staff previous to & leading up to my lumpectomy are simply lovely. Some minor issues being prepped for surgery and not great after care instructions brought the rating down a bit. I am hopeful for future appts here.
The entire experience was great with the front desk ladies, the doctor, and nurses. I would also give five star to Doctor Emily Wu.
Was referred for genetic testing. Katherine Shih helped guide me through the process of what a positive test for BRCA gene mutation entails. I was referred to a Gynecological Oncologist (Pamela Paley) and a Breast Surgeon (April Phantana) for screening. My experiences between these 2 surgeons couldn't be farther from each other. Pamela Paley is very revered in her field. She did a great job with the surgery. When I spoke about cognitive issues after surgery, she dismissed my concerns. BE Ready for a Surprise Bill WHEN OVERLAKE Bellevue REFERS YOUR CASE TO FRED HUTCH, My wife had a horrendous experience getting her Annual (December 2022) at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, who admitted to an incorrect test on her blood sample, amd made matters worse by creating fear of something serious and referred her to Fred Hutch inside Overlake Hospital.
