This place and the staff working here saves lives. As someone close to some who was admitted here, I will never be able to thank the staff enough for their care. The inpatient unit is clean and modern, the food was great, group therapies were helpful and educated. I highly recommend Overlake for anyone going through a hard time.
Called 6 times and was sent to voicemail
When I was admitted I was on the brink of wanting to die. I was a mess, my marriage was falling apart, I was extremely depressed and my anxiety was over the top. Overlake saved my life and my family. They helped me get in the right meds and Learn SO much about myself. I have the tools, knowledge and skills I need to move forward and I feel so hopeful. Thank you for everything! This place was truly a blessing ❤️
not only did I have multiple negative experiences with staff, the treatment itself was absurdly lacking. the facility stinks, from the treatment I received from the "doctor", to the quite literal sense; it smells like a rodent cage. In addition, I didn't realize droning dull 1 hour "classes" in a poorly lit office space, referencing outdated/inaccurate material was supposed to heal my mental health...from my observation and experience, staff expects depression/anxiety/ptsd symptoms to be fully cured in a few days time from t... read more
Horrible place. Not autism or eating disorder friendly. You can’t have anything- so you can’t have things to cope (fidgets, headphones,etc). It’s also an old part of the hospital that hasn’t been remodeled. Not a high quality place. They don’t allow any exceptions or accommodations to their rules. Lots of the staff didn’t understand autism or ED‘s. They made me draw labs that I did two days before - an unnecessary payment for the same labs that I already received the results(all normal).
