In 1970, C. Maurice Thorne and Cecil Williams formed Yu-Al Inc., selling and installing Raynor garage doors and Genie operators. In 1971, the pair were approached by the Overhead Door Corporation and offered the opportunity to assume the company’s Southwest Florida distributorship.
