We had a great experience with my husband’s first surgery. We had to be there at 5:30 in the morning, and parking was confusing. The lots they directed us to were blocked with signs, so we had to use the garage. But the staff had everything running so smoothly! There were many patients there but everything kept moving in a timely way. They let the spouses go back with the patient for the hour before they go under, and that was nice. Family member had a procedure there today. Nurse Christina in recovery was very disorganized, lacked basic info (knowledgeable about pain meds given or even parking validation routine), didn't call back to clarify equipment with me (after a discrepancy) but what really got me is when the patient told me no one took him to the restroom when he asked to go several times. *** update: Manager Raquel called me, hear my concerns and reviewed actions that would be taken. I initially felt anxious about treatment, but the procedure went very smoothly. Throughout the process, the doctor, nurses, and front desk staff helped me at every step of the way. Dr. Rodriguez had excellent bedside manner and gave thorough aftercare instructions and treatment plan. I'm especially thankful to Dr. Rodriguez for giving such detailed information to both me and my ride after the procedure. Husband had a Colonescopy yesterday and from the minute we walked in it was bad. My husband was told to be there at 2:15. We showed up at 2:05. The lady at the check in said she didn't think we were going to show so she put the sign in sheet away. After she checked him in she packed up her stuff turned off the lights in the back and was done for the day. Then finally at 3:05 they took my husband back. Got him gowned and an iv. My husband was a patient for his colonoscopy today. Although the admitting clerk was good, quality stopped there. His nurse overshared, explained little, left him waiting for his procedure and explained no aftercare to me, his caregiver. Dr. David Rodriguez gave him no explanation of the process and no anesthesia information. No one talked to me after the surgery.
