The outpatient registration and finance process is horrible. I know my insurance will cover the x-ray but I’m forced to sit and wait while a painfully slow staff processes others in front of me. It’s a terrible process and cannot be that hard to manage the flow more expeditiously. Hire more staff or have others in the billing team sit in the 6 cubes so there is no wait. 30 minutes is not acceptable. The use of paper from the receptionist to the team is also not efficient as a patient who checked in after me was seen first.
One black female receptionist and one young Hispanic looking receptionist in the Admitting Business Office are terribly unkind and their attitude even off-putting.
My whole experience at the St. Joseph Outpatient Center in person was worthy of five stars. Check-in was fast and I only waited a few minutes before my name was called for the ultrasound itself. The ultrasound tech was cordial, sensitive and professional. My only complaint is that I am still waiting for results ONE week later. I called the center and was advised they're behind on their results. I'll avoid this center next time and hope that St. Anthony's in Gig Harbor can accommodate me because they're much quicker notifying... read more
