This was a well organized event! This was my first year running the Flying Pirate. It was my birthday so I said why not! So glad I did. Thanks for the birthday shout out at the beginning of the race. I didn't actually hear my name, my husband did. Transportation to the race was a breeze. We parked at the finish and shuttled over to the start. The course was nice....didn't like the trail and the Hill surprises, yes surprises at mile 12, but, it didn't kill me. Loved the downhill finish and all the PIRATE BOOTY!!! The band was... read more
Very well organized and executed, not to mention the many volunteers who helped and the community involvement, awesome race. Hope to be back if not this fall, next year.
Very well organized event. The volunteers were outstanding and the support from the public was awesome. This was my first half marathon and it was an extremely positive experience. Looking forward to November!
One of the best half marathon! Can't wait to run it again:)
1st half Marathon and participated in the 5k/half challenge. Did better than I thought I would - loved the course and the volunteers and cheer "squads" were top notch!
