Outback This place was very cluttered, I felt like I couldnt even breathe in it. There is so much going on everywhere I can't focus. Their packages are placed on the back wall like a poster, just a mess.
NICE, CLEAN, GOOD TAN It is very clean and decorated tastefully. The prices and specials are listed nicely on the wall. The staff is polite and kind. I love love love the bronzing bed. It's an awesome way to start your base tan. You won't burn in the bed at all which is nice to spend 18 minutes or so being all warm and getting a nice tan. SO my guess is the previous reviews were written by a competitor. Check it out for yourself. It's NICE!!
customer I have been going to Outback Island for years. I live it. The owner & staff are friendly & down to earth. The place is clean & tastefully decorated. The beds are well taken care of & bulbsare changed as often as needed.Prices are reasonable & they run some really good specials. I've been to several other tanning salons & this one is by far m favorite. They supply you with deodorant, wipes & bodyspray for those who forget to bring their own. Love everything about this place. The real oasis in these woods is Outback. There is nothing nasty about people eating lunch in the LOBBY of the place they OWN and work at. That to me just sounds like somebody grabbing at straws trying to find something wrong with a place that has nothing wrong. As for the "snobby" workers...I think you were confused as to what salon you were in because I have met the owner, her daughters, and another lady that works there and NOT ONE of them has been anything but great to me. REAL hidden treasure in St. Robert, MO I agree with Sunny A., sounds like the two people who posted poor reviews are a couple of idiots lol. I have been tanning here for a while and have never been anything other than completely satisfied every, single time I go here. Great staff Prices and staff are GREAT! The only complaint is the price of the tanning lotions..Almost double the price of what you can buy it for over the internet. I think its great that they do appointments, most tanning salons don't do appointments. I love the 10 min beds and the no burn bed..The 20 min bed is old and burns my skin no matter how tan I am.
Best Tan Ever!!!!!!! I don't understand the first two women that gave a horrible review. I just recently went to Outback Island Tanning. I got the Mystic Tan. I told the young woman at the counter that it was my very first time doing the spray tan. She was very informative and helpful. She had me watch a video on how to do the tan. I walked in and walked right back out! The atmosphere was cluttered and smelled musty. I waited in the "lobby" area and looked at their lotion selection and all they had were these cheap lotions that she claimed were good lotions...no...I owned a tanning salon....these lotions were like the crap that would turn you orange. If you dont care about your skin go to Outback! Very Gross!! I can't believe people would even find this place inviting. The Staff is VERY rude! I asked the girl that was working what her packages were and she just pointed at her wall. She would not take the timeout to go over them with me, like I was bothering her being there. The place was empty and now I see why. I walked out and have not returned and never will. They are not knowledgeable about tanning. I would not trust my skin with this salon. Go somewhere else.
