The Southern Surgical Hospital was amazing. The staff was friendly and professional!
I was admitted on 1/10/19 and ended up spending a week in the hospital. The staff here is top-notch!! All the nurses are so compassionate, helpful and just down right a joy to be around. They made what would have been a very horrible week more easy to tolerate. Thank you to all the staff for taking such great care of me!!!!
The best hospital around! Excellent surgeons, nurses and care afterwards. There is no emergency room so no sirens. Nice and quiet!

I had my surgery here 2 weeks ago and experienced nothing but compassionate and caring nurses and doctors. I was very nervous about getting a nerve block but my anesthesiologist took time to talk to me and settled my nerves I believe his name was Scott. I also had Nurse Robin as my pre-op nurse and I couldn’t have asked for a better nurse! She even checked on me again in post-op to see if I needed anything and how I was doing. For 3 days after surgery I received a phone call to check on my progress and how my pain was.
Almost killed my wife. I will never use this facility. Director of nurses doctored the records. I would not take my dogs there.
I had a necessary surgery at Southern Surgical Hospital, was asked to sign a form advising that the anesthesiologists may not be on my insurance, but was told this is rare. Well at 6am, the morning of a surgery, I signed the form. Well did I have a choice of anesthesiologists? No. Well sure enough I get a huge bill for anesthesia, now it is in my credit report, brought my score down. Don’t believe what you hear that medical bills don’t go in credit report, THEY DO! Dr.Michael Thomas is a very great doctor he really care about his patients. And always checking on them and he want the best for them. I thank God for putting him and some of his team in my life. The hospital is a great hospital for sure better then the HOSPITALS down here in Lake Charles Louisiana. Now dont get me wrong you have some that dont care too much for you but care about there pay but most of all i love some of the nurses that took care of me when i was in lots of pain.
