punk rock, no food, rock'n'roll – Otto's is one of my favorite bars in the city. Tiki camp, it's got a back room with live music. A punkrock clientele. A weird assortment of other folks, and a very low key... dare I say alternative... feel. With Father Vincent at the door, you know Otto's is not your usual yuppie bar. No food served there, but you can bring your own... either from the pizza place down the block or the Mexican grocery store around the corner. --Drink Club NYC is a roving group of NYC drinkers

NYCsux – The last of a dying breed of great rock bars with a take no $&*t bartenders that serve up mean drinks with meaner attitudes. This manhattan refuge has great nights featuring rockabilly, surf, death rock and garage music. Drinks are reasonable and crowd is cool but not too cool for school. Tiki vibe is great for parties and I was there for a birthday party where big flaming drinks knocked me on my butt!

Cool spot – Overall this is a good spot. I only con I had about the place is the red-headed bartender. She is snobby and rude and carded me twice even though she gave me my first drink! I would recommend that if she is there, go somewhere else. Other than that, the drinks are creative and the place is a nice unknown spot in ABC city.

AWESOME FROM BEGINNING TO END!!! – The staff here is like family! I have never seen any staff, any given night I went to any bar, EVER get along like these guys!!! Everyone that works there is super nice. And most are from the neighborhood. All of them are great people. The drinks are pretty cheap, unless they are the insane TIKI DRINKS and frozen stuff, those get a bit pricey but, taste awesome. There is a guy that works behind the bar on Fridays, I think his name is Johnny, gorgeous, funny, and such a great guy. You should... read more

HORRIBLE!!!!!! – My friends and I stopped in for our first beer at this joint as a kickoff to the night. First of all, the bartender was SO WASTED that she could barely talk. After slurring back our order to us, she pours the wrong drinks. After we clarify what we want....again.... she ID's us and we sit down. After I'm done I go to get another beer and she ID's me again.....then tells me im underage!!! and throws the ID in my face!! (Sidenote: im 23!). After telling her im OF AGE she starts screaming profanities at me and t... read more

The nightly entertainment is as eclectic as the decor at this East Village tiki bar. – The Scene Every inch of the long narrow space screams kitschy tiki bar. Light-up blowfish lanterns, leopard-print bar stools, Hawaiian-inspired wallpaper, shiny red leather banquettes, faux grass edging, a "Simpsons" pinball machine--newcomers will need a strong mai tai to help soak it all in. The laid-back punk and rockabilly crowds who frequent the place most often have a beer in hand, but that shouldn't intimidate you from exploring the... read more

Hilarious – Great bar, there just aren't enough grungy punk tiki bars in the city anymore... This is the perfect spot to drink too much and convince yourself you're in a really good place in your life.

BEst place in the world – I love this place, the atmosphere is so kitchy...and everyone is totally chill. I like to go on Monday Tiki Nights- i saw a great band called Mattison there. They are so smooth live and the girl (I think her name is Kate) who sings/plays piano is so hotttt!!!! I checked and they now play the last monday of every month. They have a jazzy lounge vibe that is great to get wasted to! Otto's is definitely my favorite place to drink and watch great bands!
