When dining at Ottavio, you are transported to Italy. From the moment we set foot in the door, we felt like we were in a barrel room of a Northern Italian winery. Ottavio is by all measure the finest restaurant in Walnut Creek, and potentially amongst the very best in the entire Bay Area; take it from someone who frequents Gary Danko and Michael Minna. I have lived in Firenze (Florence) Italy, Paris, and other amazing cities. Few times have I experienced authentic and truly refined flavors as offered here at Ottavio. Took a friend here yesterday for dinner and it far exceeded my expectations. I've been craving Tuscan Italian food ever since I went to Italy last year. This tastes exactly like some of the best food I've had in Italy. Ottavio is not the fancy food that is pitifully small and with a dab of creme fraiche on the side.
