I have been to the ER for an incident related to drugs. I have worked in nursing for almost 30 years and have never been treated with such prejudice by the nursing staff. I've never been treated for anything related to drugs except for this one time. I literally had nurses standing 4feet from me talking about me and looking at me with disgust on their faces. I went to the emergency room with symptoms representing as appendicitis and sat for over seven hours watching more people leave then be seen - I finally left and ended up in crouse hospital emergency room with a perforated colon - Oswego hospital emergency room could have killed me by not taking me in and seeing what was wrong - we, my family and I, will never go to Oswego emergency room again. my 70 year old deaf father went today after falling twice in one day. staff were very rude when i got there told to wait outside. not packed at all but okay fine. when i went to ask how he is doing because inwas sitting outside for ever i get dirty looks. Their was one nurse she actually called me back and explained things to me when i got home. he was transferred to saint joes and i know he will be taken care of. unfortunately my dad has tested positive for covid. so prayers are welcomed.
