First, let me be perfectly clear, the doctors, nurses, nursing students and all of the staff, sans for registration were kind, caring and compassionate. I really believe that those in registration need to learn their job better. I have gone to the James and other locations in the OSU hospital system more times that I would like since January 1st. The doctors are incompetent. You cannot communicate with anyone & I keep getting disconnected. Cant get my medication refilled. Have have metastatic nsclc diagnoised over 5 mos ago. The cancer has spread to my lymph nodes, both breasts, & my brain. The 1st oncologist I saw looked at a lump that had popped up ,coming thru my skull ,for about 2 seconds, told me it was nothing . Dr. Seim was impeccable. He spent an hour answering all my questions on this surgery. My family was equally blown away by his charisma and care. I hope OSU can keep him around…. because WOW! I wish I could see him for all my problems
This is really only for the 15th floor. My grandmother was on the 15th floor for 2 weeks when she was only meant to be there for 1. In those 2 weeks the nurses who should have known she is a FALL RISK (!!!) and needs a walker and decided they could totally just hold her on both sides with NO walker and she almost fell. After that it has been “she will be home tonight” for 4 DAYS STRAIGHT doing nothing but upsetting her and putting her in distress during an already extremely stressful point in her life.
