After the success of the original location established the foundation of the Osha restaurants, the Valencia location began the renaissance of the restaurants to come in the Osha family. Located in the Mission District of San Francisco, this modern, exciting style of Thai cuisine broke the mold of

Great modern thai food. – I love the food at this place - and they deliver! It's a simple system they have of ordering a sauce style and then adding shrimp, chicken or tofu and that's why the food comes out of the kitchen fresh and vibrant. The seating is a little uncomfortable and the music can be a bit too loud for older adults to feel relaxed here - ie, it can seem a little 'clubby' - but those fresh rolls and tofu satay make up for all of that! Mmmmmm.
Takeout, Great Food. – I normally love this place, but I realized today that never order take out or try to get delivery. They make you talk to 5 different people and 15 minutes later they finally take your order. My best advice is come here for the take out. The food has gotten more pricey in the last year and the portion has mean while remained the same. And the seats are so uncomfortable. But the food...AHHH THE FOOD! Is amazing. I always get the Brown Rice Claypot and BBQ Chicken over fried Rice. Those are my life staple... read more
I LOVE OSHA THAI wooo hooo – My two girlfriends and I accidentally found Osha while walking around on Valencia, and we lucked out! The service was incredibly fast, the food was amazing, and our waitress was the most attentive I've had in a long time. Def go.
Best Tom Yum and Tom Kha Soup! – My group of 9 had a 7:30 reservation on a Friday night and were seated promptly. The food was awesome, especially the soups. The ambience is modern, but also warm. The prices were very reasonable. Plus there is a cool Irish bar right next door called "The Phoenix".
a late-nite meal! – these guys serve very good Thai food, fast and at good prices. i go to the Geary location, as its on my way home. since i generally do take-out orders, they mostly have it ready in 15mins. i love their thai fried rice w/ chkn, yellow curry w/ chkn, and tom ka seafood soup. and they are open really late!
Different and as Good as Geary – This isn't simply the same Geary Osha food at higher prices. I loved the Geary location and was hesitant, but decided to give this location a try. It didn't disappoint. Great decor. Food is a bit more expensive but they also have diferent offerings. At 11:15PM on a Sun night the food the fresh and each ingredient distinctly added to the dish.
Understaffed and rude servers – I had a horrible experience there the last time I went. I waited the whole time to get a napkin. We requested a napkin twice and never received it. As well, I ordered a curry mild. Well, I have problems with spicy food recently, but I thought it would be ok as they usually aren't that spicy. I got my curry and it tasted more on the medium side. I told my waitress about it, and she instantly wisked my dish away saying that they would "check on it". Even though I had said, "it's fine, I just wan... read more
A huge disappointment – On my way home from the theatre tonight I had a craving for Thai food. I've loved Osha's Geary location forever -- great prices, fast service, delicious food -- and since the Mission location is closer to my home, I dropped by there. What a mistake! Food is 30-50% more expensive than at the Geary location ($10.95+ for curries?!), food is neither more plentiful or tastier, the wait is longer, and the menu is MANY TIMES smaller! Okay, so it has a trendy atmosphere, but the seats are worse than uncomfort... read more
Music Good, Food Borderline... – I agree the decor and location cannot be beat. I live only a few blocks away and couldn't wait to try our my "neighbourhood Thai." Disappointing! I try the Pad Thai which should be one of the best dishes in any casual Thai restaurant since it's so standard, but OSHA's pad thai was gluey and oversweet-- a negative comment read on several other reviews. The meat on the lamb satay was good, but it was on the specials menu. And, the sauces that came with the spring rolls and the satay were also o... read more
