From @rosenbauert : My three criteria for finding feeding trout are: 1. water two to four feet deep 2. Current running about one foot per second near the main flow 3. Some cover within about 10 feet. Find these and you’ll find feeding trout. If you just look for shady spots or places tight to cover you may be missing some good fish. And cover can include riffles and deep water.
