Had the best time learning the finer points of fly fishing. Had a first class instructor who took the time to explain all class topics. Only 'downside" is I spent too much money in the store. Otherwise, would recommend this to anybody.
Service was excellent right from when you open the door and step inside. The atmosphere of fly life is well demonstrated. The down fall to me was the pricing on items. I've been to a few different stores that are Orvis main stores and other stores that carry Orvis products, given this is downtown NYC, the prices really should be the same and not differ. Was great to visit.

We are glad that you had a great visit to our Fifth Avenue store. Our prices should be the same as any of our other stores, and online. As a feature store for Orvis, we carry more of the new items, and less of older items that may have gone on sale.
