I recently fell and went to the emergency room at Boca Regional Hospital and was diagnosed with a fracture to my femur hip that required surgery.Dr. Colon-Martinez was the doctor who performed my surgery. Dr. Colon-Martinez is solid. I felt nothing but complete confidence throughout the entire bunionectomy experience. The day prior to the surgery we met and went over what the surgery would entail. She pulled up the X-ray and made sure we were on the same page as to the expectations of the surgery (I have significant osteoarthritis and she was removing several spurs at the same time as the bunionectomy).
I saw Dr. Colon for Morton neuroma. She examined me and said she did not think I had a neuroma but a stress fracture. She ordered a MRI which showed a neuroma not a fracture. She asked if I wanted a steroid injection and I said yes. She literally jabbed me and the pain was excruciating. The injection did not help. I came home and went to the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania. There I had ultrasound guided injections - I actually had 2 neuromas - and there was very little pain. Dr. Martinez is knowledgeable, efficient and very personable. I had a difficult surgery and she went above and beyond to repair the damage. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Colon is a very knowledgeable surgeon especially when it comes to foot trauma and reconstruction. Excellent bedside manners.
Dr Colon was extremely rude to me when I went in for a consult. She rolled her eyes at me and talked to me like I was dumb when I asked her questions. I had to wait an hour to be seen. Would not recommend her at all.
My experience with Dr. Colon-Martinez was excellent, from the first office visit, through the minimally invasive bunion corrective surgery through the post-op care. The surgery was in February and now in May I am back to exercising and walking with no pain, no swelling and you can barely see an incision. My foot looks and feels great. This physician is empathetic, communicates clearly and demonstrates a caring behavior. Fully recommend her.
Dr Colon took care of my elderly mother’s foot. When we first came in , my mom was in a great deal of pain, and not in the best of moods. Dr Colon was kind, gentle and even had my mom smiling by the end of her visit. She is compassionate and confident in her field . Highly recommend .
