Dr. Shaia has replaced both of my hips and they both went really well. He and his staff are really great. I would recommend to him everyone.
I came to see Dr. Shaia because he helped my mom and brothers and I am so glad I did! He listened carefully to all of my concerns and set forth a treatment plan and follow up to make sure my knee pain was healed properly. He is super nice and actually cares about his patients - I highly recommend him! His office staff is just as nice, great experience all around.
You are always treated with respect by everyone at the facility.
Dr. Shaia and his staff are fabulous! It is nice to know that there are doctors still out there that care about their patients both in a professional and personal matter. The care and professionalism is outstanding.

Dr. Shaia is a top flight surgeon. He replaced my right hip and, only weeks later, it is as if I never had a hip problem.
Quite possibly, the best medical experience I’ve ever had! Dr. Shaia is a consummate professional. He listened, understood and provided me with options to alleviate my knee pain; all with a great personality and “bedside manner”. My knee surgery was a success and the follow up care was excellent!
Dr Shaia has replaced both of my hips. I have had absolutely no trouble with either of them. I recommend him to anyone who needs hip surgery, he's the best.
Dr. Shaia was my hip replacement surgeon. Today, I walk the same as I did before my replacements. His work is phenomenal. I'm very active, in walking, traveling, working out and have no restrictions. I did have a revision due to the metal on metal not being a good idea. But, this was not Dr. Shaia's fault. He didn't make the hips, only installed them. I watch younger people than myself struggle with walkers, canes and whatever kind of assistance they may need. I wish I still lived in Richmond because he would still be my doc... read more
