I came to OPC following a grueling two years trying to work with another provider. My second AK socket never fit right. I tried to be a "good" patient and allow the other provider to work with me to resolve fit issues and/or provide a replacement socket...never happened. I dealt with constant skin issues, back pain and worst of all, loss of confidence in my ability to get back to the activities that keep me going. I made an appointment for an evaluation. Updating my review because I’ve seen a real improvement. After I raised concerns, OPC took my situation seriously and communication has been much better. The staff I’ve worked with—Santrell, Javier, Jason, Anna, and Stephanie—have been professional, respectful, and more proactive about helping me move forward. I also want to specifically mention that I’m working closely with Stephanie and Anna, and I think we’ve come up with a resolution that works for all of us. After visiting 4–5 prosthetics providers because my previous Prosthetist moved out of state, I thought OPC Prosthetics in Melbourne was going to be the right fit. Everyone was very nice at first, and after I explained exactly what I wanted, I was told it wouldn’t be a problem. What I asked for was simple: a new prosthetic with the same setup as my previous one, with the only change being the lock/pin system. The staff is amazing, so much care and courtesy that they made me forget what brought me to this stage in my life and helped me, almost lifted me to a better place emotionally about what I need to do to become a newer version of myself.
