Certainly wouldn’t recommend this Dr, from a work cover perspective it’s clear he doesn’t care about the patient. Saw me for 18 mins, could tell I had an injury as he pointed it out as he examined me, was rough and bruised the area of the injury. The Dr also doesn’t report on the true and real facts in his reporting for an IME.

In March 2025 I was referred to Dr David Shepherd to help with a shoulder problem after trying steroid injections and physiotherapy for many months and the pain and movement was not improving. After X-rays and a MRI he discovered the problem and surgery was the only fix. Dr Shepherd performed a shoulder reconstruction and reattached the rotator cuff tendon to the bone etc and I had the arm immobilised in a foam block for six weeks. Update: I have seen Dr Shepherd a couple of times now as a patient. He has always provided excellent advice and is extremely respectful. As a Personnel Trainer & a business owner I am very particular to whom I send my clients to for professional advice. Dr Sheperd is very approachable & professional. He explains everything clearly & gives you options. My clients have all reported to me how knowledgeable & friendly he is & how he really cares about his clients.

Terrible doctor! Always talked to my breasts the whole time. Very poor communication skills. Pre op examination was extremely poor and post op was nonexistent. No post op pain medication script. Had an Arthroscopy done and was advised I would be walking out the next day and would be fine to drive the 2 hour distance to my home. I actually required a wheelchair and hospital staff to assist me into my 4wd vehicle, was in agony the whole way, couldn't exit vehicle without assistance and was on crutches for 10 days. I had a bad experince with Dr Shepard with a work cover claim,he basically said i was lieing he hurt me when he bent my knee,and didnt listen to anything i was trying to say to him and wrote a report all for workcover you could tell straight away he was not bothered and was for the otherside. Id not go see this Dr for anything.
