I'm a very active 69 YO. My first surgery (left PKR) was done at HSS in 2021. Tried everything to put off surgery on my right: gel shots (no help), cortisone (good for 1-2 weeks), PRP (no help) shock therapy (no help) and stem cell injection (good for about a year). Was going to return to HSS however the wait would be at least 4 months. Met Dr. Rieber in Dec, got my surgery in Jan 2024. The results were fantastic! I was told that dr. Rieber was a good surgeon for total knee replacement, went in for a office visit , Totally Not Impressed, his straight forward demeanor about my body mass index and insinuating that I was a Diabetic and why he would not want to operate on me, made me feel even worse , I chose this office visit as a second opinion , but after this Visit .. . I will gladly go back to my 1st opinion Orthopedic surgeon, which was very pleasant and superb bedside manors.
Quick intake, quick service. Attention was thorough and compete. No frills. No fuss. To the point and accurate.

Dr. Rieber was very friendly and very knowledgeable. I felt extremely at ease during my visit. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
I had left knee pain for several months and Dr. Rieber treated me conservatively with anti inflammatory medications, physical therapy and injections. I failed to improve and my pain level increased along with swelling. I had a left knee arthroscopy two weeks ago and am feeling better already , Minimal swelling and discomfort. I am grateful to Dr. Rieber for his conservative approach as well as great surgical skill.

Dr. Rieber and Doug did an amazing job with my knee, diagnosed as a torn MCL. They were very thorough in their examination of the injury and answered all my questions. While surgery was not needed thanks to their physical therapy plan , I would not have hesitated to go back to Dr. Rieber for a procedure. Highly recommended
I went for pain and the doctor was very aggressive and made the injury worse. I’m having surgery in the coming weeks and I think his actions contributed. He was also very inappropriate and said a lot of unprofessional things. I’m curious why he’s no longer with RW Barnabus now. Stay away.
