He clearly explained my options for a deteriorating arthritic knee.Proceeded with step one, and I understood what to expect. Dr has done hip and shoulder replacements for my spouse with very good outcomes.
Time was taken to explain and answer all questions in a language that I was able to understand. Very knowledgeable and did not make me feel like I was wasting my time.
Everyone was very friendly and did a great job of explaining what my surgery would involve, as well as things to do to aid in full recovery!
The Dr and Staff have been great.
Dr. McAtee has been my Orthopedic Doctor for many years. I had a total shoulder replacement about 2 months ago and I’m thrilled I did it. I never had pain, just some soreness during PT, which over the counter meds controlled. I appreciated Dr. McAtee’s patience in listening to my questions & concerns. Also, appreciated his time in explaining what he would be doing and what I could expect following surgery. In the beginning, he also allowed time to help me make the decision in that I was ready for the surgery. I am thankful f... read more
Dr. McAtee listened to me when others wouldn't about my hip replacements and the problems I was having. He made sure i got the tests I needed and now I have surgeries coming up to resolve my issue and improve my quality of life. I have also had my knee replaced there. The staff has always been very kind to me which made rehab more tolerable.
Doctor McAtee and ALL staff I encountered were friendly, reassuring, and professional. I'm only six weeks out of surgery and have significant improvement already. Excited for the next 10-12 weeks.
I have seen Dr. McAtee several times for surgery and followup appointments. He has always answered questions to my satisfaction. Surgeries have always gone well. Office staff have always been friendly. I recommend Dr. McAtee for ortho problems. I have had a fractured wrist with pinning and a shoulder replacement 4 yrs ago. I recently dislocated my replaced shoulder due to a fall and added a rotator cuff tear to the list. No complaints.
2 surgeries - many office visits -> I'll never go back. He's very arrogant. At age 67 I had knee surgery for a torn meniscus. After surgery it was worse so he said I'd need a knee replacement. So I did. That was 20 months ago and it's still very swollen and painful. He actually told me he'd work on it a 3rd time but after that I needed to just stop complaining and live with it. His staff is used to working with 20 year old K-State basketball athletes. An office visit seldom results in seeing Dr McAtee. He's not "in town" ver... read more
