Dr. McAtee is very knowledgeable and I had an exceptional experience today.
I’m visiting from out-of state & a prior hip injury flared up creating severe agonizing pain. I researched orthopedic providers & selected Dr McAtee. Wow, appt within 3 days! I was in & out within 45 minutes. Quickly escorted to an exam room, given a hilarious pair of athletic shorts to wear for hip X-rays (very creative & comfortable) & back in the exam room within 10 minutes. I found this doctor to be very condescending and flippant in his manner. Would absolutely NOT recommend him. He didn’t take any time to fully understand my concerns and offered the most invasive intervention immediately. I’m a well-educated individual and he clearly made a judgment based on his own biases with little concern for my actual medical complaint.
Appointment was on time. Staff were friendly and helpful. I felt heard and understood. There was no pressure on what I should do, either injection or hip replacement.
Dr. McAtee was very professional and patient during my initial visit with him.
I had hip replacement in March 2024. I have actually only seen him once since then. I have only seen PA'S. I have had more pain than ever before. Now, I have been told that I have scoliosis and degenerative disk disease. Parts are severe. Still have not seen him. I have been through 2 sets of PT,my hip and back are so uneven that it's noticeable. Their answer, put a lift in your shoe, no difference, put another lift in. Dr. Palmgren is great. I had an uncommon knee surgery and he did a good job explaining everything to me so I could understand. When I needed my next surgery, he was the only surgeon I considered. I know I can trust Dr Palmgren to make me feel comfortable and safe before, during, and after surgery. I would definitely recommend him!
Friendliness of staff, minimal wait time, Dr McAtee answered all questions, gave explanations in detail.
I know that he’s very busy and in much demand but when he comes in the room I feel as if he is the kindest, patient doctor! He listens, asks questions and then gives you all the options to help alleviate the pain!
