In 2009 I was in my mid 30s and began experiencing problems with my hip which limited my ability to walk and work. I had Knee Replacement 08/14/19. The experience was life changing. Suffered with knee pain for years. Dr Schmidt was very informative, caring and reassuring. Staff caring and reassuring. I was well informed of what to expect. Had surgery at out patient facility. Wonderful physical therapy and after care team. Follow-up from Ortho Atlanta is phenomenal and represents the best I have experienced in the many surgeries I have had. I have received at least two calls monthly from nurse Nadia to check on my condition. Dr. Todd Schmidt has now performed two surgeries on me in the past two years…..all with no post repercussions. I wish my appointment with Dr. Schmidt had been as successful as others have reported. l went to see Dr. Schmidt because of the constant pain in my shoulder. An MRI had shown many different problems and I had hoped he could do something to help, maybe a shoulder replacement. He looked at the X-RAY and announced that I was old and what did I expect. After his one-minute summary, he turned and walked out of the room. I followed him down the hall and asked him if the tear would eventually heal he answered,"No." I left.

Dr. Schmidt treated me more than once for broken right wrist and fractured shoulder. This year I was finally able to get my left knee replaced. I recovered amazingly fast. Dr. Schmidt and staff took all the time I needed to make sure I understood what was happening. Someone called me once a week for about six weeks to see how I was doing and if I had any questions.

This is my second shoulder replacement with Dr. Schmidt,I had no hesitation to let him do the second one. He and Katie Shelley are the best, never feel like they need to get to next patient or in a hurry to listen.

Dr. Schmidt and his assistant Kate Shelley are amazing. As busy as they are,they take the time to make sure you understand everything and know what to expect. My hip replacement went perfect and I was back on my feet in no time. I highly recommend them!

I have been very satisfied with my knee replacement surgery. Minimal problems and no pain except after physical therapy and the nerve pain.
