Came here once after a neighbor had recommended it. My mom got the chicken fajitas (which smelled delicious by the way), my dad the beef smothered burrito, and I got the chicken stuffed sopa. Our food came out pretty quickly- the sopa was a little plain. But, what made this a 4 star review was the service. It was our server's birthday and his co-workers had brought in a chocolate fudge birthday cake, which he shared slices with whoever his customers were. Wouldn't see that anywhere else. Hands down the best New Mexican restaurant in town. The staff makes you feel like a part of the family, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere feels like home. I highly recommend Ortega's to anyone and everyone looking for a good home cooked meal away from home.
Great great great food!! The Chili Rellenos are fabulous, red or green, and this is the first time I've seen Brisket enchiladas! The service is wonderful, Señor Rudy Ortega, the owner, came out to meet us and even brought us a complimentary Relleno, such a friendly and wonderful man! This is my new must-go place when I'm in Albuquerque! Mucho gusto!!!!
LOVE Ortega's!! We have been going once a week for several years and the food and service are great. Highly recommended!
Rudy, Edna and staff are NM True! I can’t say enough about their hospitality, their delicious home cooked NM entrees, the service or the atmosphere! I feel like we are part of their family!!! Muy bueno!
