Since the lowdown political choice was made to not show "Gone With The Wind" my family, friends and I choose to Never attend any function here. What a shame this theatre is going down.
I would not waste my time with this venue. They believe in censorship in a time when one side is using it as a weapon against our great nation. Time to boycott another locale.
I think it's a sad time in the history of our theaters when we can't see great classics like "Gone With The Wind"! Why does The Orpheum Theatre have to insult people's intelligence by removing a classic so no one has the opportunity to see it, when we should all be able to make up our minds whether we want to see it or not! Sad times we're living in.
I love the Orpheum and had the privilege growing up and attending shows and movies here. I also had the awesome opportunity to serve on the STAR Council that allowed student representatives from each local high school to participate and help with the logistics of a lot of the amazing things going on here. Canceling a show due to political influence is wrong. Tired of the giving in. You will lose customers if you haven't already. Shame on you. You are supposed to be an arts based group not political. Why even be open?
