Terrible experience. I have never had a doctor spend less time with me. Dr. Hamer spent about 30 seconds with me, dismissed me, and still somehow charged me for the visit. I came in for chronic undiagnosed pain and to get some steps to determine what the source of the pain was. She immediately dismissed me and said she couldn't help me... you're a pain management specialist... if you don't have a single clue as to what I should do next you're not a very good one. I have been seeing Dr Hamer for years. There are not enough kind words to say about her. She takes the time to listen to you and she is very good at her job. I highly recommend her.
My poor mother had such a terrible experience. Her surgeon recommended seeing DR. HAMMER for pain. She couldn't have been more dismissive or rude to my mother. She is in excruciating pain not only did she not help she minimized it and made my mother feel awful. She has a rating average of 1 star! No compassion, no bedside manner. Not sure why she is even a doctor. Terrible terrible terrible.
Extremely Disappointed and Frustrated. I visited this doctor for persistent upper to mid-back pain, which I clearly explained multiple times. Unfortunately, she dismissed my concerns, insisted it was lower back pain, and went ahead with an X-ray of an area that had nothing to do with my complaint—without even properly examining the actual area of pain.
