RecommendedHUGE thank you to Shannon in the ED for taking such good care of me this week and gently nudging me to realize it wasn't safe for me to go home in my condition. her gentleness, kindness and tolerance for my dad jokes went a long way. There were so many other excellent nurses and techs when I was admitted and I will pull there names and add them when I get the chance, but Shannon in the ED is the real deal. RecommendedI say "yes" to recommend because it is close to my house. However, many of the Emergency room staff are not very nice. The triage nurse today was rude and grumpy. I was not here for myself, but for my wife, and they do not want to listen to the reasons or symptoms for bringing her there. They ask her questions when she is incoherent, while I am sitting right next to her. I could answer any questions that they have. I give the hospital and staff a rate 2 out of 5!
RecommendedI have to say a big thank you to Dr. Raymond Knapp! My daughter was airlifted to APH with a complete fracture of her femur after a traumatic horse accident. Dr Knapp happened to be the surgeon that day. He has been our ortho for her injury since, so nearly a year. She was just released from his care and I cannot say enough good things about him and especially his staff at his downtown Orlando office (they are WONDERFUL!).
