I've had multiple surgeries using OAG providers. Every one has called me the night before to discuss and really listened to my concerns. I've never had a bad experience with any OAG anesthesiologist.
Stay far away from Oregon Anesthesiology Group’s billing department. After more than three years, they suddenly contacted me claiming I owed an “outstanding balance” from a surgery following an accident. When I asked why this was surfacing so long after the fact, they said it was due to a billing system change and confusion during the transition. I have personally had 2 surgeries where my anesthesiologist was from OAG. One surgery at Meridian Park and the other at East Portland Surgery Center. Each time the anesthesia process was fully explained to me and I had the chance to ask any questions. Both times I had no issues with anesthesia. The bedside manner of both anesthesiologists was very friendly and informative. Additionally, I had no problems with my insurance. From my experiences, I can highly recommend OAG.
I had a recent surgery and prior met with the anesthesiologist to go over the procedure. He was warm and informative and made feel like I was in great hands! He also shared the after effects so there were no surprises!!
In spite of every reasonable effort from my insurance company, and my own communication, OAG's business office continues to send bills that they acknowledge have already been paid in full. The bills come with letters threatening collections and legal actions. Even worse, the OAG business office claims that "the issue has been corrected." And yet, the bills continue. This is an incompetent organization, automated to the point where there is no thought or consideration for the patient whatsoever.
