I want to thank this facility for absolutely nothing. We have no mental health intake facilities in the Eastern panhandle. After dealing with an emergency situation with my child and using a crisis hotline who put us on 3-way, this facility told me there was open beds and that to get my child sent here, I would need to take her to the hospital for a psych evaluation. I have nothing but good things to say about this place . Treatment and communication for patient and family is all positive.
The intake process was done through the ER at UHC in Bridgeport, West Virginia. When we arrived, the intake process was fairly simple. Shockingly there are very few children on the blue unit with my daughter who is 15 years old. She reports to me during our phone calls that there are very few patients here, when there are many beds available. i went here whenever i was admitted to a hospital. worst experience ever. they had 3 meals a day + snack but most of the food was disgusting and the snack was usually just a small cup of fruit. i’m a really picky eater and i’ve always been and i barely ate whenever i was there because of this. most of the staff was rude and unprofessional, one of the group leaders would guilt trip patients and make them share what they did to get in this horrible hospital to other patients. there are 2 cameras in each of the bedrooms and we ... read more
The Staff is pleasant and professional. This Hospital is a God send to Tristate area and surroundings! So needed!!
