As a shopper of all consignment stores in central Mississippi, I must say The Orange Peel is my absolute favorite. For one thing, unlike a few stores, Orange Peel is very selective in what they pick therefore you are not looking though Walmart items. Also, because they are selective, the items you personally consign do not get 'lost in the shuffle' of everything. Some stores have so much stuff your items may never get looked at. Awesome! 2nd hand clothing store plus 2nd hand home furnishings. Wonderful vintage stuff, plus some "just good old stuff". It's hard to leave without something -- so many bargains! Cheap cheap and good good.
I've been to a number of consignment stores around the country and at first thought Orange Peel ranked up their with the best of them. That was until I saw the owner/manager of the store buying clothes in Goodwill on multiple occasions and then taking those same clothes and hiking the price up on them in her own store. That's not how consignment shops are supposed to work. I'm never going back.
Okay I think this store is the best kept secret in the Jackson, and surrounding area. Not only do they have very nice current fashions, but they have funky retro fashions. The prices are unbelievabably low for the quality. I ALWAYS find something inexpensive, unique and cute when I go.... my friends and co-workers are hooked also. Love it FlowerGirl
I really think that this store is the best consignment place in Jackson.... there are soo many great things in there it to buy
