We were hopeful that we had found a good practice and were ultimately very disappointed with the experience. We initially had to pay a nonrefundable $75 deposit to make the appointment. I had been in pain for 6 months and everyone wanted to do a root canal which I didn't want to do. I hate everything about dental work so I put it off. I made an appointment with Dr. Ness who didn't judge me for wanting to pull the tooth. He talked me through everything that was being done and made me feel very relaxed which doesn't happen very often when I am having stuff done with my teeth. I couldn't have had a better experience. I had a tooth extraction in August 2026. I was already sad and traumatized by having to have a cracked tooth removed. My experience with the staff, nurse and Dr. Smeltzer was amazing. The best, most gentle dental experience I have actually ever had. The local anesthesia was amazing.. I didn't feel like I was Elephant Woman. Highly recommend Dr. Smeltzer.
I had a consultation appointment for my daughter with Dr. Smeltzer. I expressed my concerns that a separate provider wouldn't be providing the anesthesia with her since she has had issues with anesthesia in the past. Instead of explaining his training, types and doses of anesthetic used, and protocols if the patient isn't responding well to anesthesia, or in the case of an emergency, he was very condescending, dismissive and rude.
