I left Optum, after 15 years, due to the lack of support and my terrible Doctor, Dr O'Connell. I never had a referral approved (Optum approves them internally) in less than 4 weeks. I'm with UCLA Med now and it never takes more than 3 days. I never had a visit where I wasn't rushed out because the Doctor didn't have time for me. He does not listen. I was not sick. I just requested blood work done. I spoke 5 minutes to a nurse Lorraine Gonzales. Optimum charged my insurance $416.00. I felt ripped off.
I called for appointment and was told that next appointment schedule available will take a month because they are short of doctors. What is going on???
I just left Dr. Sanna Mahmoud's office the list was horrible. I scheduled an appointment. because I have been dealing with a severe sore throat for over a month. The Dr. Insisted that She was only going to discuss follow-up visit ( I was hospitalized a few weeks ago for a heart problem). She was inpatient , did not listen to me any all! The infusion center is wonderful. Jasmine my RN who got me thru 5 iron infusions was extremely patient and kind. She was knowledgeable, helpful in every way and made a really hard time in my life so much easier. I'm grateful to all the staff here. I would highly recommend to anyone who needs infusions and needs a caring environment.
