Unauthorized Work Hickey Automotive also did unauthorized work on my car. They installed air filters and cabin filters, which I had not requested. I only found out that they had done this after I received the bill. This work had been performed in the prior 5,000 miles, so it was not needed and not necessary. I gave them two stars because they performed the necessary checks.
They charge before they get approval from customer I brought my car in for a new alternator and an air condition check. I had an extended warranty so until it was approved by the warranty company I thought I had no charges. After all I expected it to be covered by the warranty company. After I found that I still needed to put a few hundred miles on the car for the warranty to kick in I was charged over $170 for work that I didn't approve.
