I was on the EDU for two years from the age of 13 to 15. In the last 4 months of my stay, I was not allowed to go outside for fresh air because this was a "privilege" that I had lost. I need to point out that the unit has a courtyard so you don't even have to leave the locked doors. I lost this privilege because I had failed to attend all of the groups. Got a text message reminder of my appointment and there was a number and extension to call to cancel it. Couldn’t get through. It just kept ringing. So I’ll be a no show to my appointment now.
Very disappointed with services received through the OSP Program. I don't feel my provider was able to adequately deliver the services and am not even sure what i learned. Then disappointed to learn the number of sessions I thought were left is drastically different. Was seeing Sarah Kaleem and almost completed the program but due to knee replacement surgery and difficulties in sitting for extended periods in the initial weeks I asked to reschedule zoom appointments so I could attend fully able to participate. it has been nearly 9 years since i was admitted here and i still have nightmares. too many people i met here have killed themselves due to what they experienced. if you’re admitted to the EDU, you’re being given a death sentence.
