Picked up a catering order for the Fourth of July and it was outstanding!! Prepared hot and ready to eat right at my requested time. Helpful and polite staff! My only disappointment...I didn't order enough Mac and Cheese!! Truly living up to the title of best BBQ in Hilton Head.

The food was AMAZING! For starters the Brisket Queso was so good, for our meal we had the BBQ, ribs and burgers. They were all FANTASTIC the dirty rice and gravy side is a must try! We will definitely be back

I wish I could review the food. Unfortunately, we have tried twice to order Mama's Family Express to Go based on their advertisement in the Menu Guide magazine and was told "we're not taking anymore "to go" orders tonight the first time. This afternoon at 5:00, we were told the next "to go" order would not be ready until 7:45. Their advertisements said it would be ready in 25 minutes! Greatest BBQ Meal Ever. The sides were as good as the entrees. I enjoyed the chocolate ribs,jalapeño corn bread,mac n cheese and smoked fried chicken immensely. Our party of 6 were amazed.
As someone who has always loved dining here, I was in over Memorial day weekend and was underwhelmed by the service and food. My parents live on the island and this was one of their top 4 places to eat, but not anymore. They have noticed the change as well over their last several visits. Very disappointing, I used to rave about the food.
