The best thing about this building is Jasmine the assistant manager. She really cares. Most efficient and helpful with a great attitude. Three cheers for her!!!
I wanted to rent from here but the security guard upfront was incredibly rude to me today for my tour. She scowled at my when I said “Hi, Im here for a tour,” and begrudgingly got off her cell phone to tell the leasing office I was here. She then didn’t even look at me when she told me where to wait. A very rude person who would worry me if I was a resident. Funny enough she gave the(white) people before and after us a different experience. That was odd for me.
Do not move into this apartment. Your electric bill will be $500. The fees are over $100. Additionally, Brookfield does not care about the seniors who live in the apartment. My mom has lived in the building for years and we have seen this building go from a luxury apartment to a high class Richard Allen project type apartment. Don't waste your money here. I've lived here for almost 2 years. So far, so good. The location is very convenient - fairly quiet neighborhood with good parking options, walking distance to city hall, and a nice city view. I looked at a bunch of apartments and they were all more expensive, with less space, worse parking, and/or shared laundry. I live on an upper floor away from the trash room, so I personally have not had to deal with any pests (but I've heard stories from other residents).
